CISD seeks to raise global awareness of the struggles faced by these forgotten people through study, research, and advocacy. Our research aims to spread understanding of the variety of tribal, nomadic, and indigenous ways of life, their challenges and needs, and the elements of globalization that threaten them. Our programs and projects will build on that knowledge by providing innovative solutions to the people with the most pressing need, creating sustainable economic projects that allow them to improve their standards of living, responding to the educational demands facing these people, and preserving their distinctive cultural, linguistic, and national identity.
